Easter 2005, time to have a break and a look over the past few months! First, let’s get back to the end of 2003 and the beginning of 2004. These few weeks weren’t too bright for me. Actually I felt a little bit down. I felt managing the whole project on my own like a heavy burden on my shoulders. I had decided to start with a new CD and I had composed some brand new songs… but I wasn’t very enthusiastic about them. I wasn’t in a mood to release a « Trip of Kaïkaï 2 »... So, basically I stopped everything and got back to the roots. What do I want in my life? What do I wish to express through my music ? I knew that I could only find the answers deep inside of myself. It took me a lot of time, weeks of sleepless nights, but at the end it was worth the trouble. 2004 was not only a year of intense inner construction, but also of skill improvements. I spent a lot of time on guitar practicing and composition in order to reach the level required for a great new album. Meanwhile I decided to build a new recording studio together with a friend. Up to then I had always had difficulties to get a decent recording room. It took us almost the whole year to think about and build the studio, but now we are almost done with it ! Sounds great! I am also happy to announce you that I am starting a new project. I really wish to collaborate with some very fine musicians, among them Yann Peyer and Christophe Auer. We are thinking about a next album with a fusion touch. I hope we will have a CD recorded by the end of this year. Since last month I have a manager, Cédrik Fournier, a young guy full of joy and energy. I am sure that together we will a great job. Next month, there will be a little surprise for you on this website… so keep in touch!
