My first move, aside from song writing, had been to set up my own studio. I wanted to put so much time and energy into this project that I couldn't afford to rent a studio. The first drum tracks were recorded in January 1999 by Olivier Chevalley: he almost went crazy, but he did an awfully good job! Guitar tracks were next in line, followed by the bass guitar - thanks to Goran Rastovac on "Dive in" and "Under my Blue Sun"- were done by me... I put a lot of pressure on Mathias Reusser, but he came out with the splendid "At the Door of the Fifth Element" and played all the other keyboards parts. For artistic and availability reasons, Jean-Pierre Frelézeau out of France, handled the drums parts on "When Kiki Plays Rock n' Roll". Along with Wolfgang Rüfenacht, I spent so many nights working on the mix. I could never thank Wolf enough for all the time, work and patience he put into this project. Wolf knows my balcony very well: where he used to calm down after our artistic clashes. When satisfied with the result of the mix, we headed up to Basel, where Glenn Miller did the mastering. Huge sound!

But on the project, sound was not all: I met Marko Rolffo a year and a half ago, when looking for a booklet designer. We spent hours talking about the project and came up with the idea that each song would have its own illustration. At first, we thought doing a 15 pages CD booklet with all of them, but we finally decided to produce a four page booklet for the CD. However, if you visit the whole site, you'll have the chance to discover the work of Marko, who didn't count his time on it... thank you! You folks, you can even download the illustrations as desktop image.

March 2001: after more than 2 years during which I have learned a lot both about music and life, I finished recording my first CD. So many nights spent kissing the moon on this project! but I'm satisfied with the final product. It's an instrumental rock style album and if it was composed as a solo project, many people contributed to it. Thanks to all of them. I hope when you hear these songs, you'll rock n' roll!
